Some very special writing!

During the last 2 weeks we have been learning about descriptive writing. These are the goals we have been working towards:

1. Use one simile (comparing something using the words 'like' or 'as')

2. Include the 5 senses in your description (see / smell / hear / feel / taste)

Janice Marriot is writing a book about grandparents and will choose some art and writing from Owairaka students to accompany her work.

Here is a selection of writing from Room 25. It is very obvious that we absolutely adore our Grandparents. They are very special people.

If you are feeling the 'warm fuzzies' after reading our superb writing you may also like to check out this video - We watched it as a class and thought it really captured the special bond between Grandparents and Grandchildren. It made our "hearts feel happy".
