Happy Matariki from Room 25 and Owairaka School!

Owairaka akonga, kaiako and whanau shared an amazing Matariki celebration last week. We all enjoyed a performance from our Kapa Haka group, steamed pudding prepared by Garden to Table, a traditional hangi and fun on the pou toti (stilts). Lucas also stayed overnight at school with the Whanau group. KIA ORA Mr Bennett for organising such a special Owairaka celebration! We really appreciate your hard work, enthusiasm and passion.

Throughout the week Room 25 have been putting a lot of careful thought into creating our Waka Huia. It is now on the walls leading up to our classroom - Please come and have a look!
