Light and shadows

Yesterday we did an experiment to figure out if the length and angle of our shadow changes at different times of the day. Wowee, we learnt some amazing things! The photo above shows LJ and Kairos with the outline of their shadow at 9.30am and their shadow later in the day at 11am. Can you see how the angle and length of their shadow has changed? We found out that the sun makes longest shadows at the beginning and end of the day, when the sun is lowest in the sky.

  1. I think that learning about light and shadows is a best way of telling which way the sun is pointing at.(w.i.s) from wailun

  2. Hi Wailun,
Thanks for your comment. Room 25 has had a lot of fun learning about light and shadows this term.
    Have a great weekend!
