Our trip to the Owairaka Community Gardens
Each term, Room 25 has a trip to the Owairaka Community Gardens. Today we went to plant rhubarb plants donated by Bunnings. We have learnt that the gardens are a community resource, encouraging families to come together and share the produce. We feel proud that we can contribute to this initiative in our community.
Other activities we did during our trip were:
- Sketching leaves, insects and trees
- Using magnifying glasses to observe up close
- Tidying up the park and picking up rubbish
