As part of Maori Language Week the elephants reading group read a story called 'Poi'. They then made their own Poi and practiced using them! It was lots of fun - Congratulations for organising your performance all by yourselves Aaron, Washington, Francesca, Rico, Cleo, Tuki and Kiara!
We also learnt some new Maori words from reading this story:
Poi = Ball
Taura = Cord
Hukahuka = Tassel
